Locally owned and operated by Joe Chapman, a Ballina local who believes every roof should be done right the first time.
From a single leaking sheet to a complete new roof, we handle it with the care your home deserves.
At Richmond River Roofing, we specialise in metal roofing for homes and businesses across Ballina, Lennox Head and the surrounding Northern Rivers. New roofs, re-roofing, repairs, restorations, guttering and roof plumbing, all completed by a local team that takes genuine pride in the finished job.
We work exclusively with premium Australian-made materials, including BlueScope Colorbond steel and Metroll roofing products, because a roof in this part of the world has to handle salt air, summer storms and serious rainfall without letting you down.

A local owner on every job, premium materials on every roof and a finish we are happy to put our name to.
Joe was born and raised in Ballina. He knows the streets, the building styles and exactly what the coastal weather does to a roof around here. When you hire Richmond River Roofing, that local knowledge goes to work for you.
We build with BlueScope Colorbond steel and Metroll roofing products. No cheap imports, no cut corners. Just proven Australian-made materials that stand up to Northern Rivers conditions.
We do not do quick patch-ups that fail in the next storm. Every job is diagnosed properly, quoted honestly and finished to a standard that lasts, first time round.
Richmond River Roofing is a licensed roof plumbing business (Licence No 348533C), so your gutters, downpipes, flashings and drainage are handled by a qualified professional, not a handyman.
We come to you, inspect the roof, explain what we find in plain English and give you a clear quote. No pressure, no jargon and no surprises on the invoice.
Do not just take our word for it. Here is what our customers have to say.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Joe and his team did an excellent job replacing the guttering and downpipes on our two-storey home in Ballina. From start to finish, Joe was incredibly conscientious and exceptionally thorough.”

“Joey repaired my leaking skylight after 2 other companies had failed. Not only did he fix the problem, he checked after the next downpour to ensure it was secure. Now that’s service!”

“Joe is an absolute legend. We had a roof leak that was working its way down two levels and absolutely saturating our downstairs bedroom. We had previously had two builders look into the issue, but they hadn’t been able to diagnose the problem. We were given Joe’s number by a friend and it was an absolute life saver. He came to our home, diagnosed the issue within minutes and assured us that his repairs would fix the problem for good. He was able to fit us to his busy schedule ahead of time, because he saw how much impact the leak was having on our home. Since the repairs there isn’t a drop of water entering the home. Absolute star. Highly recommended.”
